This tour is ideal for all ages and will take you, your family or friends down the Ribeira de Aljezur River until the Ocean beach of Praia da Amoreira. This River tour is quite gentle and relaxing, yet it’s a fun paddle, perfect to learn and safe for kids too.

After getting all the equipment sorted, we do a safety briefing followed by a Stand up Paddleboarding Lesson explaining how to paddle, how to stand up and balance and how to turn and manoeuvre the board in a calm water environment.

The surrounding is constantly changing as we paddle towards the Ocean: there are areas with wild berry bushes and then salt marshes with mud banks where loads of shellfish grow. On low tide it is a feast for local and migrating birds that love this area to feed and rest. The entire river is full of fish, that will jump out of the water as we paddleboard forward silently. The area then changes one more time when we approach the river beach surrounded by tall dunes just behind Amoreira beach. A paradise place and really quiet with the water flowing slowly, perfect for a swim and for letting the kids play – kids absolutely love this place!
